Job Description
Understanding of vendor screens and system features and capabilities.
Provides legendary Customer Service to Merchant portfolio consisting of multiple Customers.
Multiple incoming calls ranging per day in excess of 60-100.
Receives, researches and answers account maintenance and other inquiries and requests.
Communicates with sales reps, supervisor, various internal departments, Customers, outside processing vendors and others as necessary, communicating account status, procedural, administrative and other information; forwards and obtains required documents and information as required.
Follows up with inquiries and research of a more complex nature and communicates with Customers.
Tracks recurring issues and makes suggestions for ways to prevent recurrence in the future.
Assists less experienced staff with more difficult calls or Customer issues.
May provide support and information to less experienced personnel as needed.
Maintains account information to ensure records are kept current.
Tracks, researches, and resolves issues and processes maintenance changes on accounts.
Develops, generates, and analyzes various reports.
Coordinates activities with outside vendors.
Completes any required Bank training courses in compliance with Policies and Procedures commensurate with job responsibilities.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
3-5 Years of related experience
In-depth knowledge of merchant services processes and procedures.
Can solve complex problems merchant questions relating to account setups and monetary activity.
Has thorough knowledge of front end vendors and back end settlement and clearing activity.
Can answer questions related to all card types, sales issues and operations.
Strong relationship development skills.
Organizational skills, including ability to prioritize work.
Demonstrated problem solving skills, including ability to research and resolve Customer account issues.
Attention to detail.
Supervisory skills, if a lead position.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
PC skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
