Description of Duties:Responsible for the delivery of adult and geriatric patient/resident care through the nursing process which includes Patient/Resident Assessment Planning, Care Delivery/Interventions, Education, Discharge Planning, and Documentation. Professional responsibilities include Quality Improvement activities, leadership, growth, development, and completion of MDS per regulation standards. The MDS nurse is responsible for complete chart audit for physician''s certification, completion of timely recerts, verfication of medications. MDS certification is preferred.
TheREHAB CENTER is a 42 bed Skilled Care Unit which is a Med/Surg Step-Down unit providing services for acute Med/ Surge patients (heart, lungs, strokes, etc) who are not ready to go home from the hospital. Patients come to the Rehab Center from other acute care environments to receive therapy and treatment when hospital care is no longer required. This makes the transition to home or assisted care easier. St. Marguerite d''Youville Pavilion is Maine''s largest long term care facility. Qualifications:Maine RN License, MDS certification.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
