Current Need
We are looking for a candidate that has advanced Revenue Cycle Billing knowledge and has the understanding to perform multiple functions from Charge Entry, Accounts Receivable, to Customer Serivice.
This individual will be responsible to audit internal employees and provide clear direction on how to improve their audit scores on future audits. They will be required to work on multiple billing platforms and audit multiple functions. This position will require that the auditor be comfortable with reading and understanding department pathways and policies, and make suggestions to how processes can be completed more efficiently in the future.
The auditing function relies heavily on documentation to educate employees based on the audit findings and a prime candidate will have strong communication skills both orally and written as. This candidate must also have the ability to be discrete as audit results are sensitive in nature to employees they will work with on a daily basis.
Position Description
Audit work performed by team members within multiple departments who perform work on functions such as Charge Entry, Payment Posting, AR, Customer Service, Correspondence etc. Research to ensure the accounts were worked accurately may be conducted within the billing system, through websites, review of department pathways and documentation, and may also include calling insurance companies.
The purpose of an audit is to ensure that employees are following McKesson BPS policies, compliance regulations, and client specific procedures to complete their work accurately and efficiently. Results of audits are report back to employees and management to help educate individuals on how they can more effectively and efficiently work their accounts in the future.
Minimum Requirements
3
years work experience; medical billing and research experience required.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Excellent understanding of the A/R process. Is capable of training others and answering questions from co-workers when necessary. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior level clients, and high level of computer literacy with command of office software including excel spreadsheets, pivot tables and PowerPoint presentation. Good knowledge of healthcare, government and/or insurance industry

High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
