The position focuses on grant writing and reporting, while supporting agency fundraising to increase private revenue. The Manager works with the Director to cultivate funder/donor relationships, develop diverse funding sources to sustain new and existing programs, and to integrate funding and reporting requirements.Job functions Grant Development, Writing, and Management Work with agency Directors to establish priority areas for grant-seeking to meet agency needs, expand programs, and increase revenue. Research potential sources of grant funding from foundations and government sources. Write and edit federal and state grants and contracts and ensure timely submittal; in conjunction with Directors, ensure compliance with all requirements once awarded. Research, write, and submit letters of intent and grant proposals to private foundations. Maintain agency monthly and annual schedules for grant applications, reports, and renewals. Work with agency data management staff for compiling client data needed for reporting; assist Program Directors/staff as needed with drafting/editing narratives for grant reports. Fundraising and Development Support the execution of the agency development strategy to increase revenue. Cultivate and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors, foundations, government agencies, municipalities, and corporations. Participate in and support the agency fundraising and marketing plans and support the development and implementation of publicity, special events, annual fund, and capital campaigns. Cross-train on all development functions provided by small admin and development team to increase efficiency and maintain services during absences/vacancies and fundraising/grant deadline seasons. Community Relations and Administrative Management Represent agency for presentations/speaking engagements as needed; participates in community and statewide networking groups as assigned. Interact with staff, youth/clients, donors, volunteers, and the public in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner; model respect and encourage culture of philanthropy. Maintain strict confidentiality of client, agency, and donor information. Assist in preparation of department budgets and track expenditures within budget. Participate in administrative, management, and/or Board committee meetings as assigned. Supervise staff and/or volunteers for grants and development functions. RequirementsMinimum of 2 years' successful development and proven grant writing experience required. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred - 5 years' experience with increasing responsibility for grant writing and development in a non-profit may be substituted for degree. Training in nonprofit and/or public grant writing required. Work experience or training in nonprofit grants management, program development, social services grant reporting, fundraising, or other relevant skills preferred.Excellent writing and editing skills required. Ability to communicate clearly and engage/influence others via grant proposals, phone, email, and in person. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Able to work independently and as a team. Excellent Windows-based computer, word processing, formatting/layout, PDF, and web research skills required. Familiarity with positive youth development/agency models of care, homeless programs, data analysis, and/or Maine-based funders a plus!This in-person position is based in a second-floor admin office in Lewiston, ME. Some evening and weekend hours are required for events and meeting grant deadlines.Compensation and benefitsSalary (Exempt):

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
