Description of Duties: The qualified person selected for this position will have responsibility for providing clinically based pastoral ministry within a Catholic healthcare system with love and compassion to patients, residents, families,significantothers and employees during times of illness, injury, crisis or in the dying process. The Pastoral Care Department carries on the healing ministry of Christ, creating a gentle, caring presence within the system, that promotes spiritual health and healing through support, prayer, reflection, advocacy and education.
Qualifications: Catholic Chaplain: Anticipated part time position opening in December 2014 at St. Mary's d'Youville Pavilion, a 210-bed Post Acute Care (PAC), long term and rehabilitation facility. Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required, Board Certification preferred or working towards certification.
Certified by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains or in the process of being certified. and able to be endorsed by the Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Portland. A minimum of two years experience in hospital chaplaincy is preferred. Must be a practicing member of the Catholic Church.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
