Job Details: The Patient Registrant supports a variety of registration functions. Registers patients receiving outpatient treatment, secures patient account by obtaining appropriate demographic, insurance and medical information. Retrieves insurance eligibility and co pay information. Accurately completes and documents patient registration. Creates patient estimates, collects co pays and deposits. The Patient Registrant also strives to minimize patient arrival time to treatment area, improving customer satisfaction as it relates to the registration process, waiting time and general communications. Supports management team members and performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission of St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
Qualifications: Registration, billing or Meditech experience required. Data entry skills with PC experience required. Medical terminology is preferred. Also requires the ability to work in a fast pace environment and the ability to multi task. Requires excellent customer service skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
