Review and auditing of daily work of Coding personnel engaged in coding, abstracting of inpatient data to assist in maximizing payment to the hospital that includes review of records, physician documentation, codes, analysis of data input, DRG and CPT assignments and participating in Documentation Task force team to identify areas of improvements during the patient hospital stay. Conducts periodic reviews of other coding such as ambulatory and speciality outpatient coding performed in HIMS. Participates in training of new coders and monitoring performance. Works with physicians on a one on one basis for completeness of documentation. Certification as CPC or CCS required.
This position has a target fill date of June 30, 2014Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
